120 x 90cmNowadays we are besieged by the world of materialism. I attempt to search the possibility to break through such situation. By utilizing basic materials available in daily life, which are also functioning as basic building materials of the encirclement, such as A4 inkjet paper, inkjet printer, mobile phone, etc to produce new images and objects. As result, the common definition of those materials can be modified, so that the grip of the encirclement could be relieved.
Zhao Yue, artist and architect， graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Southern California and Tsinghua University. His main recent participations in exhibitions include “SAIC 2010 MFA Show” in Chicago and the “Secret 7”group show in Tianzifang, Shanghai in Dec.2012; “BABEL ME” group show, Shanghai Glass Museum, Dec. 2015; “TO BE LIKE WATER”China-Europe Art Exhibition in Suzhou, Dec.2017.
