Virtual Dimension (Variable)Fred Farrow is an English/ Dutch artist. His immersive approach to art is intuitive, humorous, and often colourful. He uses different media such as CG art, painting, and sculptures to express concepts of semiotics, myths and a global consciousness.
Reworking the signification of materiality, the artists offers us an idiosyncratic language that combines an interest in the ready-made with a focus on the dichotomy of hand-crafted/ industrial, private/ public, tangible/ virtual and the heuristics of transpersonal identity.
Fred Farrow grew up all over Europe and now lives and works in Shanghai, China. He first studied painting under Suson Huijbreght in The Netherlands and later continued his education at the ArtEZ University of Art and Design in Arnhem, The Netherlands. He has previously worked within the constructs of collective artist groups and continues this collaborative spirit in his own work. He has exhibited his work in galleries in Paris, Venice, Rome, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
