Multi award-winning writer/director Richard Fenwick lives and works out of the UK. His work can be chiefly characterised by bold, imaginative storytelling, an eclectic range of styles (romantic drama through to science fiction) and a sharp, satirical wit.
Richard began his film-directing career back in 2000 after a background in motion graphics led him to direct his first music video for the band Death in Vegas.
Many critically acclaimed music videos followed as well as work for commercial brands. In this period Richard was nominated for best new director at both the Music Creative & Design Awards in London and the Kinsale Advertising awards in Ireland.
With an eye on theatrical features Richard shifted focus to the writing and directing of short films in 2004 and in a relatively short period of time built up an award-winning portfolio of exciting short film work, including the films Artificial Worlds, The Box, Love Letter, Cherry, Safety Procedures, Albert’s Speech and 10 short films in a series called User Guides.
So far this work has screened at over 100 film festivals worldwide, on numerous television channels and won many awards; marking Richard out as a rising star in the International film world.
Over the past few years Richard has been honing several feature film scripts, including, indie sci-fi, Slow Light, and psychological thriller, Silence.
